A surprising title change happened on the recent RAW when Alexa Bliss & Asuka became the new WWE Women’s Tag Team champions.
Damage CTRL’s Dakota Kai & IYO SKY were defending their titles on the latest episode of RAW when this upset happened. Damage CTRL attacked the challenging duo of Bliss and Asuka a few weeks back and rendered them out of action. They returned on the latest RAW and challenged Kai and SKY to a title match. The match was made the official main event for the night. Bayley, Damage CTRL’s leader accompanied them to the ring while the RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, accompanied the challengers.

How the match ended
In an entertaining and fast paced match,The Genius of the Sky’s springboard dropkick almost incapacitated Asuka. IYO SKY dived again towards her fellow Japanese but ate a double knee to the face. The Empress of Tomorrow followed it up with the Asuka Lock on SKY and made her tap. The match didn’t end that soon though as Bayley who was outside, distracted the referee. He didn’t see SKY tap and the match continued. While fighting in the crowd, Bayley laid out Bianca Belair with a Bayley-to-Belly through a table. Alexa Bliss incapacitated Dakota Kai by crashing her on the stairs.

Back in the ring, IYO attempted a moonsault on Asuka but missed, getting kicked in the face. Asuka quickly tagged in The Goddess who hit the Twisted Bliss on SKY for the win.

The trio of Bianca Belair, Asuka and Alexa Bliss are feuding against Damage CTRL ( Bayley, Dakota Kai and IYO SKY) for the past few months. Damage CTRL beat them at Clash At The Castle 2022 and there have been many matches among the members of both groups. IYO SKY & Dakota Kai beat Aliyah & Raquel Rodriguez to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team championship on RAW, September 12th. Their loss marks the end of their 49 days reign as champions.
