Their Suspension

On the RAW taping of May 16th this year, the Women’s tag team champion duo of Sasha Banks and Naomi walked into Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis’ office. They had their suitcases in hand, placed their titles on his table and walked out on the show. They were going to compete in the main event that night. WWE suspended them later and vacated the titles. The duo had cited some personal differences with the competition as well as the creative decisions taken for their characters.

Since then, rumors have been going around predicting the dates and scenarios of their return, all proving to be wrong. However, they have since been spotted during the New York Fashion Week, walking the ramp, attending Hollywood premiers, award ceremonies and Comic book conventions.

She has changed her social media handles of Twitter and Instagram to her real name, that is Mercedes Varnado. Also, she has announced in public that these new handles were indeed her. Naomi’s social media handles still remain the same.

Sasha has mentioned that she has intentions outside of WWE like music, fashion and acting. She has even acted in two episodes of the hit Disney+ series, The Mandalorian where she played Koska Reeves. She is also first cousins with many artists from the music industry, most notably rapper Snoop Dogg.

here were also rumours about them being present backstage during WWE tapings. However, they proved to be false. Banks and Naomi’s future in the professional wrestling industry still remains unknown.
