Sami Zayn Was Absent From WWE Last Week And His Tweets Indicate Someone Close To Him Passed Away

Sami Zayn was absent from WWE last week and even missed the latest SmackDown where he’s signed to. The reason for his absence is being speculated as the death of a dear one.

On SmackDown, Michael Cole revealed during commentary that Sami could not make it to the show due to personal reasons. Later on twitter, Sami posted a tweet in Arabic that translated to “We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return.”

In Islam, they generally use these words as a prayer when someone close to them passes away. He hasn’t elaborated on who this deceased person is yet. Zayn is however breaking character and posting tweets with sad undertones along with other tweets.

While fans were very supportive of their beloved superstar, famous comedian Sarah Silverman replied to the Arabic tweet in a cryptic way. She wrote “But not for a long time!!?”

Maybe she just wrote it without much thought because she has always been a supporter of Sami’s #SamiForSyria charitable cause. Sami has even thanked her publicly on twitter for her endorsement.

We will see Zayn this week on the upcoming SmackDown because he is going to be part of the SmackDown World Cup. He is facing Butch from The Brawling Brutes on Friday.

The Bloodline is currently feuding with The Brawling Brutes and they had a face off last Friday with Drew McIntyre joining his UK buddies as well. These two factions will probably have a WarGames match at Survivor Series WarGames on November 26th. The Bloodline outnumbers The Brawling Brutes with McIntyre 5 to 4. Therefore Sheamus & gang will need another member to join them to even the odds. It should be a superstar from the United Kingdom to join the team like Tyler Bate, who has been inactive since losing to Bron Breakker at NXT Worlds Collide. WWE is yet to officially announce this match on TV but may do it this Friday.
