Roman Reigns Possibly Injured By Kevin Owens During WarGames Match

Roman Reigns may have suffered an injury at Survivor Series WarGames. It happened during The Bloodline’s WarGames match against The Brawling Brutes, Drew McIntyre & Kevin Owens. A while after Roman’s entry into the match, he came face to face with Kevin Owens. After exchanging some words, Owens delivered a stiff slap to the left side of Reigns’ face before coming to blows.

After the match, that Reigns and his Bloodline won, he complained of having a possible ruptured ear drum. According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, the Undisputed champion also had a visible bruise under his left eye. Meltzer also said that there was definitely some damage to the ear drum. Whether it really was a rupture, nobody knows for sure.

He also revealed that Roman was very upset about this slap & was yelling some expletives backstage. Apparently, this slap was in the heat of the moment but it isn’t like Roman wants punishment for Owens. It’s more on the lines that it should not have happened. There are also reports of Roman confronting Kevin backstage. Allegedly they got into a verbal altercation in the locker room but it never got physical. This may explain why he did not attend the post Survivor Series press conference. WWE hasn’t released any official statement regarding Reigns’ potential injury. That means he is ok to compete at the moment.

For now, it doesn’t seem like WWE will reprimand or bury Kevin Owens for going rough with the face of the company. He was in action against Roman’s cousin Jey Uso on RAW yesterday where he beat The Bloodline member.

At the Survivor Series WarGames main event last Saturday, Jey Uso pinned Owens following a splash after Sami Zayn’s low blow. This led to the RAW main event match between them where Owens defeated Uso.

Roman doesn’t have a challenger for his Undisputed titles right now. Maybe this beef between them can translate into a title feud.
