Dakota Kai Shares A Memory From WarGames Showcasing The Brutality Of The Match

Dakota Kai recently shared a memory from her women’s WarGames match, highlighting the brutality she had endured. The WarGames match, happening for the first time on main roster, featured her, Bayley, IYO SKY, Rhea Ripley & Nikki Cross. They were taking on Bianca Belair, Becky Lynch, Alexa Bliss, Asuka and Mia Yim.

She was one of the two women to enter the cage first and start the match. Belair, leader of the rival team, was the other one. She tried to counter the RAW Women’s Champion but was no match for the superior athlete’s strength. In a particularly brutal spot, Belair picked her up in the Power Bomb position and threw her on the cage wall. She fell down sandwiched between the ropes and the steel.

She has shared a picture of this happening on her twitter and written,

“Me: *wonders why I’m so sore* Also me:”

Here’s the whole video of that spot:

Apart from this Powerbomb, Kai suffered quite a lot during this match. Her opponents hit her with trashcan covers on the face and a Superplex among other things. In the end she even went through the table after Becky Lynch crashed into her with a cage top leg drop. Lynch then covered her for the pin. Dakota ended up wrestling for 50 mins start to last. This explains her feeling sore.

In a fan shot video, she could be seen being helped by Bayley walk back as they exit the cage. Her Damage CTRL partner, IYO SKY was woozy as well doing a Moonsault off the top of the cage.  She collapsed to the floor and Rhea Ripley carried her back. These instances show the level of physicality these superstars went through. Fortunately Kai & others weren’t hurt.

This isn’t Dakota’s first WarGames because she was a part of this match at NXT TakeOver: WarGames 2019. But she never entered that match as she turned heel by attacking her partner Tegan Nox and walking away.
