RAW Superstar Teases A Huge Twist For Halloween Havoc

Austin Theory made a surprise appearance on his alma mater, NXT, on the latest episode. He teased cashing in his Money In The Bank contract at Halloween Havoc, happening this Saturday.

RAW superstar Kevin Owens too, made an appearance on the show. He was hosting The Kevin Owens Show segment which featured guests NXT champion Bron Breakker, JD McDonagh and Ilja Dragunov. These three are going to have a triple threat match to determine the NXT Champion at Halloween Havoc on October 22nd.

Predictably, a brawl ensued between them and Dragunov somehow emerged as the last man standing while holding up the title. To everyone’s surprise, Austin Theory’s music started playing right then. He emerged and held up his briefcase indicating that he is coming after the NXT Championship title next.

Now it’s possible that he may cash in his MITB contract on the winner of the triple threat match at Halloween Havoc or even before that. Earlier he had shown interest only in the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Since winning the briefcase at the Money In The Bank ppv in July, he has even tried multiple times to cash it in but was unsuccessful. The latest being at Clash At The Castle, where he was knocked out cold by the heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury.

Background

Austin Theory is a young upcoming superstar handpicked by Mr. McMahon himself as his protégé, when he was leading WWE before his controversial exit. He is a former bodybuilder and has some experience in the indies too. Theory has the distinction of being the youngest winner of the United States Championship as well as Money In The Bank contract. He has tried to cash it in on bigwigs like Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar unsuccessfully.

With a God Mode Roman and his Bloodline by his side, it’s unlikely that Theory will be successful in his cash-ins. Therefore, going after the NXT title is a smart choice.
