“I Would Not Be Surprised”- Booker T Says Roman Reigns Could Remain Champion Until 2024

WWE Legend Booker T recently gave his opinion on Roman Reigns‘ stay at the top in Vince McMahon’s pro-wrestling promotion. Reigns has been the face of the company, and many fans feel that nobody on the main roster is on his level at the moment. The Tribal Chief owns both the Universal Championship and the WWE Championship.

At WrestleMania 38 last month, he defeated Brock Lesnar in the main event to unify both the world championships. Reigns is not going to defend his championships at the upcoming premium live event – WrestleMania Backlash.

He will participate in a six-man tag team match, where he will unite forces with The Usos to take on the trio of Randy Orton, Drew McIntyre and Riddle.

On the latest episode of the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T commented on Roman Reigns’ title reign and said:

“I would not be surprised, I tell you right now (laughs), I know Cody, what he wants, but I would not be surprised if Roman has the title for the next two years (laughs). Card is subject to change (laughs).”

Booker T thought WWE would push Cody Rhodes in the world championship picture

Further speaking about Cody Rhodes joining Roman Reigns in the world title scene, Booker T added:

“Cody Rhodes coming back saying, ‘The title that my dad didn’t win,’ it seemed we were going down that route.”

It will be interesting to see if WWE indeed considers a feud between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns. At the moment, Cody is in a rivalry with Seth Freakin’ Rollins. The two Superstars will cross swords for the second time at WrestleMania Backlash this Sunday.

If Cody manages to register another win against Seth Rollins, it should not be a surprise if he emerges as a challenger for Roman Reigns’ title soon.
