Drew McIntyre has sent a funny yet emotional message on twitter to the recovering Big E. He gave a shout out to their match at last year’s Crown Jewel for the WWE championship which Big E had won.
The two time WWE champion quoted a fan’s tweet with multiple photos of their last encounter. He wrote:
BIG MEATY MEN SLAPPING MEAT TM
A year since myself and @WWEBigE tore it up in front an electric crowd for the WWE Title. What a night. Miss you brother

In this tweet, Big Meaty Men Slapping Meat, is a famously hilarious line said by Big E during an interview. Xavier Woods is also seen laughing hysterically in the video.

Big E has responded to McIntyre’s tweet appreciatively:
You’re a true gentleman and a master of your craft. One of my very favorite singles matches ever. Thank you for this one. I’ll remember it fondly for a very long time

On the March 11th episode of SmackDown, Big E and his New Day partner Kofi Kingston had a tag team match with Ridge Holland and Sheamus. When the match went ringside, Holland attempted a belly-to-belly overhead suplex on Big E. As he tossed the big man in the air, E landed on his head on the floor, breaking his neck in the process. He later revealed that he had fractured his C1 and C6 vertebrae. He has been on the injured list since.
Big E recently showed up for his alma mater’s football match and was supporting them in his energetic style. He is on the road to full recovery hopefully by next year.
On November 5th at this year’s Crown Jewel again, Drew McIntyre is facing his old nemesis Karrion Kross. During SmackDown, he announced that he will face Kross in a Steel Cage in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at the PPV.
Let’s hope McIntyre and Big E slap meat again after the latter recovers to a 100%
