Big E Comments On Bobby Lashley’s 196-Day Reign As WWE Champion

In a massive title change on WWE RAW last week, New Day member Big E defeated Bobby Lashley in a WWE Championship match after he decided to cash-in his Money in the Bank contract. Big E became Mr. Money in the Bank earlier this year at the MITB pay-per-view event. Over the last few weeks, he had been teasing to cash-in on the WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

However, in the end, Big E showed up on RAW and decided to cash-in on the All Mighty WWE Champion Bobby Lashley. It was the perfect timing for Big E because Lashley was having a WWE Championship match against Randy Orton on the same night. After Lashley’s match against Orton ended, Big E announced that he was cashing-in his Money in the Bank contract.

Soon after, Big E pinned Bobby and took the WWE Championship home. Many fans would remember that Lashley had won the WWE Championship from The Miz back during the WWE Thunderdome. Lashley held the WWE title for 196 days before Big E defeated him. The New Day member heaped praise on the former WWE Champion for his fantastic performance as champion.

“First of all, hats off to Bobby for one incredible reign. I thought he was an incredible Champion. The man looked the part, performed the part. The stuff that he and MVP were doing together, The Hurt Business, so much of his run I thought he did an incredible job,” Big E said while talking to NotSam Wrestling. (H/T: Sportskeeda Wrestling)
