Rhea Ripley Shares A Workout Video With Her AEW Boyfriend

Rhea Ripley recently shared a video on twitter of her working out with her boyfriend. It’s AEW talent, House of Black’s Buddy Matthews (fka Buddy Murphy in WWE).

In the video, she is seen doing a chest press with 80 pound dumbbells while Murphy spots her from behind. He helps her pick the heavy weights and playfully messes up her hair in the end as she laughs.

She is very open about their relationship and keeps sharing pictures and videos of them together. Apart from their WWE origins, they have other commonalities as well. They are both from Australia and are gym rats too. Buddy Matthews was dating WWE RAW superstar Alexa Bliss earlier while Rhea was in a relationship with Demetri Jackson from the indies.

Ripley is a part of WWE’s heel faction The Judgment Day on RAW and mostly accompanies Dominik Mysterio. Dominik even calls her “Mami” which is best left to the WWE Universe’s imagination. She is a former NXT UK Women’s Champion, NXT Women’s champion, RAW Women’s Champion and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion. She won all these titles one time each. Rhea is also the 2021 Women’s Royal Rumble winner. While Matthews is a former NXT Tag team champion, WWE Cruiserweight champion and RAW Tag Team champion also one time each. Matthews is a part of Malakai Black’s House of Black stable in AEW now and WWE released him along with Black on June 2nd, 2021.

Ripley, also known as The Nightmare, dominated a rare inter gender match against Akira Tozawa last week on RAW. She successfully pinned him after a Riptide in a one sided contest.

Ripley recently had staredowns with Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair teasing a feud with them. She has faced both Lynch and Belair in the past, although not frequently, in praise worthy matches. Her only encounter with Becky happened in NXT and ended in a no contest when Shayna Baszler attacked them both. Therefore Becky Lynch is the ideal opponent for her as they have unfinished business.
