Shane McMahon Was Reportedly Frustrated With Vince McMahon At Royal Rumble

In one of the most shocking developments in professional wrestling this year, reports have surfaced online claiming that Shane McMahon, the son of Vince McMahon, has left WWE. Vince is the final decision maker for everything that happens in WWE. It seems like Shane had some big plans for himself on the Road to WrestleMania 38, but Vince vetoed them all.

According to Dave Meltzer of WOR, Shane McMahon, Brock Lesnar and Vince McMahon were involved in a backstage discussion ahead of the 2022 Men’s Royal Rumble match. The much-hyped 30-man match did not receive positive response from the audience. Many fans had high expectations from the Free-for-all.

Meltzer has reported that Shane had some ideas for the Royal Rumble match, but Vince vetoed them all. Meanwhile, Brock Lesnar, the eventual winner of the match, also had some ideas, and Vince approved most of them.

“Shane wanted to do it one way, then Vince would veto it, Brock Lesnar would push for other things. Brock got a lot of what he wanted, and Shane didn’t get a lot of what he wanted, and then Shane complained to a lot of people,” Meltzer reported.

Will Shane McMahon ever return to WWE?

Shane-O-Mac did not appear on WWE TV since WrestleMania 37, where he lost to Braun Strowman. He made his surprise return at the Royal Rumble 2022 premium live event as an entrant in the 30-men match. Interestingly, Shane made it to the final 4 along with Bad Bunny, Brock Lesnar and Drew McIntyre.

Ultimately, Brock Lesnar eliminated all three of them and won the match to punch his ticket to WrestleMania 38. On the subsequent episode of WWE RAW, Lesnar confirmed that he will main event WrestleMania 38 in a match against Roman Reigns. Meanwhile, Shane did not make an appearance on the show and may never come back again.
