“Getting In The Ring With Grayson Waller Is Never Safe” – Waller Cuts A Locker Room Promo After Veteran Is Injured

R-Truth has suffered an injury during his match with Grayson Waller on NXT. The referee stopped the match midway as it looked like Truth was in pain.

Truth returned to NXT last week when he interrupted a promo between Waller and NXT North American Champion Wes Lee. Doing his usual hilarious antics, he forgot it wasn’t Halloween Havoc and wished everyone. Then he called Waller’s Australian accent British. He and Lee then drove Waller out of the ring to close the segment. A match was set up for this week between R-Truth and Grayson Waller.

What actually happened

The two athletic wrestlers had a fast paced back and forth contest. It began with Truth slapping Waller across the face and got a front kick in return. After knocking down Truth, Waller mocked him with Truth’s childhood hero John Cena’s “You Can’t See Me” taunt. At a point, Waller performed an STO on Truth and as the action continued, the Australian landed outside. As he was standing outside, the veteran did a diving somersault off the top ropes and landed inconveniently on the floor. Although Waller tried to catch him, he wasn’t able to.

It looks like he hurt his left knee as he was holding it soon after. Also for a second, Grayson was trying to check if the 50 year old was ok. Soon, the trainers helped a limping R-Truth go backstage. The referee rang the bell and awarded the win to Waller.

The Aussie delivered a locker room promo after beating up Truth’s imaginary friend Little Jimmy and shoved him inside the locker. The Boxer said “Getting in the ring with Grayson Waller is never safe coz what I do is hurt people…”. He even tweeted that NXT is his house.

There are no updates about how severely hurt the funny superstar is or even if it is legit or not. It seems like a real injury for now.
