Kingston got up on the top turnbuckle and went for a hurricarana on Zayn but missed him. Sami was able to catch him in the nick of time, preventing him from falling hard on the ring floor and possibly breaking his neck.

Even after this botch, Kofi being the professional he is, didn’t let the WWE Universe know what had happened. He continued the match showing off his high flying moves. Eventually, Zayn was victorious in the bout when he pinned Kingston after a reverse roll up after some help from Jey Uso.

Sami was arguing backstage with Jey before the match for not helping him on RAW. He lost a match to Matt Riddle there. Sami Zayn and Jey Uso are constantly at loggerheads with each other, because Jey questions Sami’s loyalty to The Bloodline. However, this week, Uso accompanied Zayn to the ring and even helped him get the win. Maybe things are starting to get better between the two now.

Kofi Kingston is no stranger to botches, having famously eliminated himself out of the Royal Rumble this year by landing on both his feet outside the ring. He was trying to jump and hang on to the audience barrier without touching his feet to the ground. He had done this in an earlier Rumble as well but wasn’t successful this year.

He may have avoided disaster on SmackDown this time but his New Day team mate Big E wasn’t so lucky. Big E broke his neck on SmackDown some time back, when he was belly to belly suplexed by Ridge Holland outside the ring. He is yet to return to the ring and is still under physiotherapy. As they say in the commercials, Don’t Try This At Home.
