Brock Lesnar and Mark Henry are two of the biggest WWE Superstars of all time. Both Superstars have enjoyed much success and gained a lot of fame in the world of professional wrestling. Back in the early 2000s, both Brock Lesnar and Mark Henry were a part of the Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) promotion.
It was like a developmental territory for the upcoming WWE Superstars, and big names like John Cena, Batista and Randy Orton also started their journeys in OVW. While Brock Lesnar and Mark Henry went on to become big names in WWE, there was a time in OVW, when Lesnar thought that he would lose his job.
During their OVW days, Lesnar and Henry decided to have a shoot fight to see who is stronger. During their match, Lesnar’s move hurt Henry badly and ruled him out of in-ring action for almost six to seven weeks.
In an interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling, Henry shared the details of how Lesnar thought the promotion would remove him from their roster for injuring an opponent badly.
Mark Henry told Brock Lesnar that the promotion would not fire him
Mark Henry felt that instead of Lesnar, he would be the one who would get fired because of that injury. Here’s what Henry said in his most recent interview:
“I was just on the ground like,’Oh my God’, and he was like, ‘You’re hurt’ and I was like, ‘damn, I can’t move and he was like, he’s like, ‘they’re gonna fire me.’ I said ‘no, they not gonna fire you, they gonna fire me.’ But we got a laugh about it later on but during that time he’s like a very, very dangerous guy.”
Brock Lesnar is currently one of the top WWE Superstars. He will challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed Championship at SummerSlam on July 30, while Mark Henry works for AEW now.
