No. 1 Contender Match For RAW Women’s Championship Set For Next Week

A Big number one contender’s match was decided for next week for the RAW Women’s championship. The two women facing each other for the championship are Bayley and Alexa Bliss. They won their spots for next week’s match in a triple threat match each.

The first match was Bayley vs Asuka vs Rhea Ripley. Becky Lynch interrupted Bayley before the match in her new style of entering through the crowd. She told Bayley that she hoped she wins so that they face each other next week. Lynch was implying that she is confident she would win in her triple threat match later. Becky even had an intense stare-down with Rhea Ripley on the ramp as she was leaving.

The match itself was quite entertaining, and Bayley won without the help of her Damage CTRL buddies.

Ripley took out her frustrations on Asuka after the match by hitting her with a Riptide.

The match to determine the second contender was also the main event of the night. It was a triple threat featuring Alexa Bliss vs Becky Lynch vs Nikki Cross.

In the high octane match, where Becky was looking dominant, Damage CTRL attacked her. They Double Powerbombed Lynch through the table, laying her out. Alexa took advantage of that and hit the Twisted Bliss on Cross for the win.

Alexa Bliss vs Bayley is now final for next week to determine the no. 1 contender for Bianca Belair’s title.

Bliss’s joining forces with Bray Wyatt was teased yet again backstage. His logo flashed on the screen behind her and she was sporting Lilly the doll again. She even attempted the Sister Abigail finisher on Becky during the match. Sooner or later, they will be a team once again.

Alexa Bliss and allies recently beat Bayley and team at Survivor Series in the first ever main roster WarGames match. Therefore their match next week would be sort of a payback match for Bayley. Her Damage CTRL partners will surely play a role in it. Will Becky help Alexa because of her beef with Damage CTRL? We will find out next week.
