“I Got To Go With Him”- Booker T Names The WWE Superstar Who Should Dethrone Roman Reigns As Champion

Roman Reigns is currently the undisputed WWE Universal Champion. He won the WWE Universal Championship back in 2020. Almost two years later, he battled the WWE Champion Brock Lesnar in the main event of WrestleMania 38 in a title unification match. Reigns beat Lesnar in the main event and captured both titles.

It has been more than a month since Reigns became the champion but he is yet to defend his titles on TV. He recently took part in a six-man tag team match at WrestleMania Backlash, where he teamed up with The Usos to take on the trio of Drew McIntyre, Randy Orton and Riddle.

Reigns and his brothers emerged victorious in that contest. Now, again, the attention is back on the question that who should challenge Roman for the title. It seems McIntyre is the person who would dethrone him at the Clash of the Castle show, but according to WWE legend Booker T, Cody Rhodes should be the next champion after Roman.

Booker T feels Cody Rhodes should dethrone Roman Reigns because he has the momentum

Speaking on the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T gave his honest opinion on who should be the person to end Roman Reigns’ legendary title reign and said:

“I got to go with Cody Rhodes. Drew McIntyre, like I said on the kickoff show, being a part of this six-man (tag team match) with RK-Bro, keeping himself real close to the body, making sure he stay close to the championship, it’s good for Drew McIntyre, letting everybody know, ‘I’m not far from the picture.’ “

Cody Rhodes challenged Theory for the WWE United States Championship this week on RAW, where Seth Rollins interfered and did not allow him to win the gold. Rollins and Cody will likely have one more match before they move in other directions.
