WWE Champion Big E Expresses His Desire To End Goldberg’s Career

Reigning World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Champion Big E desires to retire WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg. The two Superstars have never crossed paths in a WWE ring before. It is a dream match for many fans. Now that Big E has the WWE title, the dream match can happen at WrestleMania 38 or in Saudi Arabia.

Big E became the WWE Champion by cashing in his Money in the Bank contract on Bobby Lashley. It is pertinent to note that Lashley had a fierce rivalry with Goldberg earlier this year. Goldberg unsuccessfully challenged him for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam 2021. Before that, Goldberg lost to Drew McIntyre in a WWE Championship match at Royal Rumble 2021.

The WWE Hall of Famer has hinted that his next match will probably be his last. Thus, it seems unlikely that he will win any championship. But since he has failed to win the WWE title in his last two championship matches, Goldberg could try one last time. Speaking on the possibility of a match against Goldberg, Big E told RN Pro Wrestling:

“When I cut that nonsensical promo on our podcast, the likelihood to me was like 2.5% tops. But now that I hold this dearly beloved WWE Championship, it’s all possible. I would like to see that happen; that would be incredible. Imagine Goldberg’s last match [against me].”

Big E lost his previous pay-per-view match against Roman Reigns

Big E wrestled against Roman Reigns in a Champion vs. Champion match at the recently-concluded WWE pay-per-view event titled Survivor Series. Big E main-event the show in a match against The Tribal Chief.

While WWE RAW dominated Friday Night SmackDown in the interbrand warfare, Big E could not help his brand finish the show on a high. Roman made SmackDown proud by defeating the WWE Champion without any help from outside.
