WWE’s Grand Backup Plan For The Rock vs Roman Reigns Reportedly Revealed

The Rock vs Roman Reigns is a dream match that every WWE fan wants to see. However, the idea has never come to fruition because of the Brahma Bull’s busy schedule. Also, the last time the legend returned to the ring, he picked up a serious injury that affected his movie schedule. Thus, Dwayne Johnson has made very limited appearances for WWE.

According to reports, WWE has planned The Rock vs. Roman Reigns for WrestleMania 38, but the match is not happening. Instead, WWE has booked a Winner Take All match between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar with both WWE Championship and Universal Championship on the line.

Now, as per Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE plans to have The Rock vs Roman Reigns for WrestleMania 39, but they also have a backup plan in case that does not happen. They can add an Uso from the tag team named The Usos on each side so that The Rock is involved in a limited physical capacity.

“The goal is Reigns and Rock in Dallas for the 2022 Mania, if concessions have to be made regarding Rock and movies and injury fears, that they do Reigns and an Uso vs. Rock and an Uso,”said Dave Meltzer.
