“I’m done having to carry others” A Shocking Betrayal In The NXT Main Event

A surprising heel turn happened on the latest NXT episode after the main event.

Kayden Carter and Katana Chance were defending their NXT Women’s Tag Team titles against Nikkita Lyons and Zoey Stark. This was a rematch from a couple of weeks ago where Stark pinned Chance and they thought they had won, but they found out that Carter was the legal competitor. The match was restarted and Katana ended up pinning Nikkita to pick up the win. In the rematch happening this episode, Stark and Lyons went to work on Chance isolating her from Carter. Chance dropped Stark with head scissors and tagged in Carter.

While Nikkita and Kayden were fighting ringside, Stark tried an unsuccessful Phoenix Splash on Katana. Grabbing this opportunity, Katana delivered a cutter on Stark but only got a 2 count for her effort, as Nikkita broke the pinfall.

At a point, due to misunderstanding, Zoey almost hit her own partner Nikkita on the apron. Nikkita pushed her out of the line of fire but went down herself. In the end, the champions Carter and Chance finished off Zoey Stark with their team finisher to retain their titles.
