On this day in 1998, Mick Foley and The Undertaker had one of the most memorable WWE matches of all time. The two legends went one on one in a Hell in a Cell match at the King of the Ring premium live event. The match saw The Deadman destroy his opponent by throwing from different heights. Fans were shocked to see Foley on his feet despite being hit so much.
More than two decades have passed since that Hell in a Cell match, but the wrestling universe still talks about it regularly. They cannot forget how Mick Foley, who was in his Mankind avatar, was thrown off the roof of the demonic structure onto the announce table.
Another memorable visual was of The Undertaker chokeslamming Mankind through Hell in a Cell. Remembering that match on its 24th anniversary, former WWE Superstar Mick Foley wrote on Twitter:
“24 YEARS AGO TODAY. What were you doing on June 28, 1998? I was taking flight lessons, courtesy of Undertaker. Thanks to all of you who have shared this magic moment of time, and made it an iconic part of wrestling history.”

The Undertaker and Mick Foley had a match for the ages
So many Hell in a Cell match have happened in WWE after the 1998 King of the Ring show, but not many fans would say that one of those matches has topped the show put on by the Undertaker and Mick Foley that night.
At the recent Hell in a Cell show, Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins had a five-star match, which will remain in the minds of the fans for the years to come.
