Former WWE superstar Chris Masters has expressed his desire on twitter. He wants to come back to WWE at the Royal Rumble next year.
Masters has shared his fan’s picture on twitter, where she is holding a sign on yesterday’s SmackDown, asking WWE and Triple H to BRING CHRIS MASTERS BACK. He wrote in the tweet: 2023 Royal Rumble. I mean it has been 12 freaking years!!

Ever since Triple H took over as Head Of Creative from Vince McMahon in July, he has been on a rehiring spree.
Masters is the latest ex WWE superstar to express his desire for a return after Eva Marie and others.
Masters was with the company from 2003 – 2007 and 2009 – 2011. Known as The Masterpiece, he had an amazing chiseled out of marble physique. He had competed in four Royal Rumble matches during his time there. He had also feuded with many top stars like John Cena, Shawn Michaels, Bobby Lashley and Carlito, Chuck Palumbo, MVP among others throughout his WWE career.
His last match with WWE was against Jack Swagger at WWE Superstars on August 4th, 2011, where he suffered a loss. WWE released him the next day.
He was involved in many promotions since his release, most notably IMPACT/TNA and the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). He is still employed by NWA.
In WWE, his Masterlock Challenge was a very popular segment where he would challenge wrestlers to break his Masterlock (Full Nelson) hold in the ring for a cash prize. It went unbroken for two years until Bobby Lashley broke it in March, 2007. Lashley himself uses the hold as his finishing maneuver now and calls it the Hurt Lock.

If The Masterpiece returns, a feud with The Almighty could be worth watching. They are both physical specimens with the same finishing moves and have a history with each other.
Lashley has wrestled Masters twice in WWE and once in IMPACT/TNA, where he has emerged victorious every time.
