The Undertaker and Chris Jericho are two of the most decorated Superstars in professional history. Both had very successful runs in WWE. While the Deadman has already retired from the in-ring competition, Jericho is currently working for All Elite Wrestling (AEW).
Jericho left WWE a few years ago, and he has been one of the main faces of AEW since the day the promotion was launched. Currently, AEW is considered as a rival for WWE. Several former WWE Superstars like Jon Moxley, Keith Lee, Adam Cole, CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, Paul Wight, Mark Henry and others have moved to AEW.
As mentioned ahead, Chris Jericho is in the category of legends now, and in an interview with Pop Culture, the Ayatollah of Rock ‘n’ Rolla commented on how he has a similar role as the Undertaker had in his last run with WWE.
“Not that there’s any comparison, but I think I’m kind of taking on like The Undertaker role in the WWE for his last few years there,” said Jericho.
Will Chris Jericho return to WWE?
The one thing that has always remained same in the world of professional wrestling is that it is unpredictable. No one can predict what will happen the next day. It seemed like Cody Rhodes would stay with All Elite Wrestling forever, but he has reportedly quit the company and is even moving back to WWE soon.
Now many fans are speculating whether Chris Jericho will switch to WWE soon. Jericho was very successful in Vince McMahon’s wrestling promotion. He even appeared through the forbidden door on a WWE Network Special episode of Broken Skulls Session With Stone Cold Steve Austin.
It will be interesting to see what happens next in the heated WWE vs. AEW battle. Jericho will be a key player in this business.
