Reigning WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch was reportedly involved in a backstage confrontation with the current SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair after the infamous Championship Exchange segment involving the two Superstars. On a recent episode of SmackDown, WWE booked a segment featuring both the women’s champions.
At that time, Charlotte Flair was the RAW Women’s Champion, while Becky Lynch was holding the SmackDown Women’s title. The reason behind booking that segment was that both Superstars were drafted to opposite brands during the WWE Draft 2021.
Charlotte Flair went to SmackDown, while Becky Lynch became a part of Monday night RAW. So, the two ladies had to interchange their titles and hold the championship of their brand. The segment made little sense, and the way it was executed, WWE fans understood that all was not well between Charlotte and Becky.
Becky Lynch talked about that incident in a recent interview
During her appearance on the SI media podcast, the interviewer asked Becky Lynch about the backstage details of what happened between her and Charlotte Flair. Here’s what the RAW Women’s Champion replied:
“I don’t know, man. We don’t talk anymore. We don’t talk. So all I’ll say is the locker room needs a hero sometimes. And sometimes somebody’s gotta be a hero. I’m all right being that hero. That’s what I’ll say on that matter.”
Many fans would have noticed by now that Charlotte Flair has given a subtle response to Becky with her latest tweet. Here’s what Flair tweeted:
“Everyone wants to be the hero in their own story.”
