“I Would Have Kept That Record Intact”- Dutch Mantell Says No One Should Have Broken The Undertaker’s Streak

WWE WrestleMania is the biggest premium live event conducted by the Vince McMahon-owned pro wrestling promotion. And WrestleMania is synonymous to the Undertaker’s streak. Before WrestleMania XXX, fans would always be interested to see who would end the Deadman’s winning streak at the Showcase of Immortals.

Before Brock Lesnar ended the Undertaker’s streak at WrestleMania XXX, the Phenom participated in 21 matches and emerged victorious in all of them. After the streak was broken, he defeated Bray Wyatt, Shane McMahon, John Cena and AJ Styles while losing a bout to Roman Reigns.

Overall, he has a very impressive win-loss record at the Showcase of Immortals. Commenting on his streak and whether it should have been broken, former WWE manager Dutch Mantell said on Sportskeeda:

“I think I would have kept that record intact even though he did lose to Brock Lesnar. It may have helped Lesnar, I don’t know, but I think people were disappointed. But I think Mark, he was great, and he still is.”

No other Superstar is likely to match The Undertaker’s streak

As mentioned ahead, the Undertaker won 21 consecutive matches at the Showcase of Immortals. Looking at the current roster of WWE Superstars, it is highly unlikely that any other Superstar will build such a massive streak.

Even if a star manages to win 10 back-to-back matches at the Show of Shows, it will be a considerable achievement. It will be interesting to see if any Superstar can match it.

As far as WrestleMania is concerned, the 38th edition of the premium live event is expected to be the most stupendous one in the company’s history. It will be a 2-day WrestleMania, with the AT & T Stadium in Dallas, Texas. Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar is set to headline this year’s WrestleMania in a grand world title unification match.
