Jon Moxley Confronts William Regal For The Betrayal At Full Gear. Bryan Danielson Saves Regal.

At AEW Full Gear, William Regal betrayed his Blackpool Combat Club member Jon Moxley. He helped the challenger for his AEW World title, MJF, that led him to losing the championship. On the latest AEW Dynamite, Regal tried explaining his actions.

As the show started, Regal was there. He made the announcement that the brand new AEW World Champion MJF will be absent that night. MJF was supposedly shooting for a major motion picture that night as he claimed. He revealed that he sent an email to the champion a few weeks ago and Friedman will explain all about it next week when he arrives.

Moxley then made his way through the crowd and wanted to confront him. Just then Bryan Danielson interrupted the two to try and convince Moxley not to hurt Regal. Danielson even slapped Mox to keep him off his mentor and reminded him of the veteran’s health problems. He tried to relate to Moxley by comparing his own dad’s alcoholism with that of Jon’s.

He said Regal did a bad thing last Saturday but had helped him connect with his dad earlier. Because of this, he loved the Englishman. As the segment ended, the former champion addressed the Brit as “Lordship” and wanted him to run and never ever come back.

What happened at Full Gear

At the Full Gear main event when the referee was knocked down, MJF wanted to use the Dynamite Diamond Ring on Moxley but Regal stopped him. Moxley locked MJF in a Bulldog Choke, making him tap but the second referee was out of action too. Regal asked Moxley to involve the first referee, who was regaining consciousness. As Moxley went to the referee, Regal slid his signature brass knuckles to Friedman. MJF put them on and clocked Mox on the head, knocking him out and pinned him for the win.
