On January 26th, E! released a wedding special of Nikki Bella and her husband Artem Chigvintsev. It’s an episodic reality TV series, the first episode of which was released.
Nikki broke up with her long-time boyfriend John Cena and then started dating her “Dancing with the Stars” co-star Artem. After dating for a couple of years, where they also had a son out of wedlock, they married in August 2022. They documented their wedding and created this reality show called “Nikki Bella Says I Do.” which released recently. The couple was busy promoting the show in media and Nikki revealed the challenges in her wedding planning;
“I thought it was a really good idea. I thought, you can totally plan a wedding in four weeks…It’s not easy.” (Timestamp: 0:48 to 1:02)
The couple had a gorgeous fairytale wedding in Paris, France on August 26th 2022. Only a small group of family and friends attended it including their 2 year old son Matteo Artemovich Chigvintsev. The reality series on their wedding will be in 3/4 parts on the E! network that WWE is promoting as well.
It will follow them throughout the wedding planning, from dress shopping to venue hunting to Nikki’s bachelorette party and more.
Speaking of dress shopping, Bella did something controversial there. She wore the gown she originally bought while engaged to John Cena to marry Artem. She admitted “I was like wait, why should I not wear what I love? Because of my past?” Self-confessedly, it empowered her. While twin sister Brie Bella didn’t support her in this decision, her husband was cool about it. However she bought a few dresses afterwards anyway.
John Cena started dating Canadian engineer Shay Shariatzadeh in early 2019 after meeting her while filming his movie Playing With Fire in her home country. In October 2020, the couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in Tampa, Florida.
The Bella Twins both retired together in 2019. Brie is married to former WWE and current AEW wrestler Bryan Danielson and they have two children (girl & boy) together.
