Who Is The Masked Wrestler SCRYPTS Who Debuted On NXT?

The secretive SCRYPTS has made his debut on NXT after weeks of cryptic promos. He had a mask on and won his first match on the white and gold brand. However, dedicated WWE fans were quick to recognize the person behind the mask was Reggie from the main roster. Looks like the 29 year old has had a gimmick change and moved to NXT.

His match on NXT was against rookie Indian wrestler Guru Raaj, who he defeated. In the match, he showed his acrobatic moves including a jaw dropping somersault leap into the ring.

Vignettes for SCRYPTS have been airing for the past few weeks on NXT programming. They show a mysterious caller leaving cryptic voicemails at the WWE Performance Centre. His entrance was equally mysterious and dark, with him entering in front of a digital mirror but in his partially covered mask, fans easily identified him.

On RAW, Reginald or Reggie was prominent in the WWE 24/7 championship scene and is a four time 24/7 champion. He was also the longest reigning champion at 112 days. The parody championship is now defunct after Nikki Cross dumped it in the trashcan indicating it is finished.

Reginald’s character was of a flirt on the main roster. He used to hit on many female superstars & was Carmella’s butler in the beginning. After getting fired from her, he became Nia Jax’s BFF. When he cost her and Shayna Baszler the Women’s Tag Team titles, he had to leave them. That’s when he got into the 24/7 title picture.

Reggie was also Dana Brooke’s on-screen husband on RAW & once tried to pin her in an unsuccessful effort to capture the 24/7 title. She demanded a divorce from him after that. This was his last appearance on RAW on May 2^nd although he did wrestle veteran Shelton Benjamin on the September 5^th Main event show.

He always wanted to perform in the circus since childhood. His wish came true when he became a performer for the famous Cirque Du Soleil before signing with WWE.
