Vince Russo feels Goldberg will return at Extreme Rules

Former WWE writer Vince Russo has predicted that the WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg will return at the upcoming pay-per-view event of World Wrestling Entertainment, titled Extreme Rules. The Extreme Rules pay-per-view will likely feature the first title defense of Big E, who won the WWE Championship, last night on Monday night RAW.

Big E won the Money in the Bank briefcase earlier this year at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view event. Many fans believed that the New Day member would cash in on the reigning WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. However, the same did not happen as Big E decided to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase last night on the WWE Champion Bobby Lashley.

Many fans would remember that Lashley had fought against Goldberg at the 2021 edition of the SummerSlam pay-per-view event. So, in that match, Lashley defeated Goldberg and also attacked his son after the match. Goldberg has stated that he will be back for revenge and former WWE writer Vince Russo expects him to be present at Extreme Rules.

Speaking on the Legion of RAW after the previous episode of Monday night RAW, former WWE writer Vince Russo told Sportskeeda Wrestling:

“That will get them into Saudi, Big E still has the title, because Big E can’t beat Lashley again. You beat Big E, he’s dead… what a waste of time. Goldberg’s gonna come down – that’s where he’s gonna get his revenge. He is gonna cause him [Lashley] to lose and then they’ll go to Saudi.”
