A Beyblade Video Game Ad Played On Titantron During Austin Theory’s Entrance

Survivor Series WarGames that concluded yesterday had 2 title matches on it. One for the SmackDown Women’s title and the other for the United States title. While the Women’s title did not change hands, the US title did. Austin Theory is the new US champion now after beating Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley in a triple threat match.

What was funny during Theory’s entrance was the video playing on the titantron as he was walking towards the ring. The video was an advertisement for the Beyblade videogame. It seemed like a bizarre technical botch until the commentators started promoting Beyblade on live TV. The 3D logo of BEYBLADE BURST QUADDRIVE was also displaying on TV screens.

Therefore, this was probably intentional and not a botch.

The video game was also promoted on Xavier Wood’s YouTube channel UpUpDownDown yesterday. It was Team Kofi Kingston vs. Team Zelina Vega in a BEYBLADE Battle.

Coming back to the championship match, it was a fast paced battle where all 3 competitors got to show their skills. As the match began, both Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley went after Austin Theory throwing him out of the ring. Then they both started dueling with each other until Theory joined them back. At a point, Lashley tried to apply the Hurt Lock on Rollins but Theory broke it up. Then Rollins hit Theory with a superplex but ate Lashley’s spear before he could hit a Falcon Arrow. However, Austin inadvertently fell on Seth pinning him in front of a shocked crowd.

The Visionary may have lost his title, but was the star of this match, doing all the top spots. He did stuff like jumping off Theory’s back to deliver a stomp on Lashley and a frog splash to break a pin, among others.

With this victory, Austin Theory has become a 2-time United States Champion. Hilariously, the arena crowd did not forget his Beyblade entrance & was chanting “Let’s Go Beyblade” during the match.
