Satnam Singh has generated a buzz in the professional wrestling community after his grand entry in All Elite Wrestling. On the most recent episode of All Elite Wrestling Dynamite, Singh attacked Samoa Joe soon after he won the ROH World Championship.
Singh has now allied with Sonjay Dutt. Not many AEW fans would have an idea about who is Satnam Singh. So, in this article, we will look at a few interesting things about the newest member of All Elite Wrestling.
Prior to his AEW debut, Singh participated in a WWE tryout event in 2017. However, he could not earn a contract from the Vince McMahon-owned wrestling promotion. Now, he has joined All Elite Wrestling.
In an interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling, Singh explained why he left basketball despite being the first Indian to be drafted into an NBA squad.
“In the beginning my focus was completely on basketball. When I wanted to move out of basketball, I thought wrestling was the best opportunity for me. Because wrestling is very popular in India. That’s when I decided to leave,” said Satnam Singh.
According to online reports, Satnam is approximately 7 feet and 3 inches tall. He is one of the tallest pro wrestlers in AEW, and if he can continue to dominate on the roster, he can become one of the best Indian pro wrestlers of all time.
As per f4wonline, the reason behind Singh’s AEW debut last night had a connection with the company growing its market in India. With Sonjay Dutt by his side, fans can expect a dominant performance from Singh in the coming weeks on AEW Dynamite. It will be interesting to see if he can win the ROH Championship from Samoa Joe.
