Shawn Spears (Tye Dillinger) And Cassie Lee (Peyton Royce) Become Parents

Shawn Spears (known as Tye Dillinger in WWE) recently became a father and announced it on his social media as well. His wife Cassie Lee (known as Peyton Royce in WWE) gave birth to a boy on Tuesday. They have named their son Austin Jay.

A lot of his former WWE colleagues including Bray Wyatt and Kofi Kingston as well as current AEW stars like Sammy Guevara have congratulated him on this joyous occasion. Spears (real name Ronnie William Arneill) married Lee (real name Cassandra McIntosh) in August 2019. This is their first child together. He shared a photo of him and his wife holding the hand of the newborn.

Shawn, a Canadian national, signed with WWE back in 2009. He was a regular feature on OVW, WWE’s developmental territory and even competed in ECW. WWE released him back then and re-signed him in 2013. Shawn mainly wrestled in NXT and then moved to SmackDown but they released him again in 2019. He then signed with AEW and has had a better run of his career with the company. He has faced the likes of Cody Rhodes, Dustin Rhodes, Adam Page, Wardlow and even The Inner Circle. Shawn brought back his “Perfect 10” gimmick in 2022 but is absent from AEW programming since October. He hasn’t won any championship belts in WWE or AEW. Shawn runs a wrestling school with former WWE wrestler Tyler Breeze in Florida called Flatbacks Wrestling.

Cassie is an Australian professional wrestler who signed with WWE in 2015. She competed on NXT till 2018 where she most notably formed a tag team with Billie Kay, another Australian. They were then moved to SmackDown and their team was renamed The Iconics. Their team was split during the 2020 WWE Draft and WWE released them together next year. Both of them then joined Impact Wrestling in 2021 and left the promotion in April 2022, together. They’ve won the Women’s Tag Team titles in NXT & Impact one time each.
