WWE Announces 2 Big Segments For Next Week’s SmackDown Episode

WWE SmackDown is one of the most popular wrestling shows on TV right now. The fans have enjoyed watching their favorite wrestlers compete on the blue brand of WWE. Many members of the WWE Universe viewed it as the ‘B’ show of the company, but now, it is the ‘A’ show of the company after the move to FOX.

SmackDown on FOX receives more viewership than any other pro wrestling show on TV. To increase the excitement levels for the fans, WWE often announces some big segments for next week’s show in advance.

The Hell in a Cell premium live event is set to take place this Sunday, and the next week’s episode of the blue brand will feature the fallout from that show. Also, it will feature two big segments.

The first is a big championship match, where the Intercontinental Champion Ricochet will put his title on the line against the former NXT UK Champion Gunther.

Lacey Evans will make her return to SmackDown next week

The second segment is from the women’s division. Former NXT Superstar Lacey Evans will make her return to the blue brand for a likely in-ring return. She was scheduled to compete on this week’s RAW episode, but WWE changed the plans at the last moment and moved her to the SmackDown roster.

Lacey Evans recently disclosed her heartfelt interaction with Stephanie McMahon about her kids and career. Here’s what Lacey wrote on Twitter after Stephanie announced that she was taking an indefinite leave of absence from WWE.

“Without missing a beat, she said ‘take them (kids) with you. Be with them as much as you can in this journey. It’s possible to do both. It gave me hope coming in, knowing I was in a company that acknowledges and supports the family. She is more amazing than so many will know.”
