WWE WrestleMania Backlash is in the history books. Madcap Moss picked up a win against his former best friend Baron Corbin at that premium live event. Moss won the Andre The Giant Battle Royal and was on his way to the top of the men’s division. It looked like Corbin and Moss would dominate the tag team division together.
However, Baron Corbin had other plans. He decided to turn his back on his friend when he was close to breaking through in the title picture. Corbin and Moss are involved in a heated rivalry since then. On the most recent episode of WWE SmackDown on FOX, he beat Moss badly.
In an interview with Megan Morant on the latest episode of Talking Smack, Baron Corbin explained his actions and said:
“Explaining what I just did? I mean, I’m here for a good time. I’m happy. I’m happy for a reason, and doing that to Madcap Moss after he somehow pulled out some miraculous victory at WrestleMania Backlash, well, that made me happy. That’s my explanation. I’m going to go out there and do whatever it takes to make me happy.”
Looking at the way things transpired on this week’s SmackDown episode, it should not be a surprise if fans witness another battle between the two SmackDown Superstars at the upcoming WWE premium live event – Hell in a Cell.
Since the stakes seem higher for this feud, there is a chance that the creative team may book a Hell in a Cell match between these two Superstars. With the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns needing a new opponent, the winner of this feud could have a chance of contending for the #1 contender’s spot for the grand prize.
