Roman Reigns is the face of modern-day WWE. He currently holds the undisputed WWE Universal Championship, having defeated Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship while himself holding the Universal Championship at that time. Reigns has not defended his title on TV since winning it.

Speaking of Roman, in a recent interview with WrestleTalk, current WWE RAW commentator Corey Graves revealed that he played a part in giving the Tribal Chief his screen name.

Many members of the WWE Universe would know that Roman’s real life is Leati Joseph “Joe” Anoaʻi, but he wrestles on TV as Roman Reigns. Explaining how he helped the Tribal Chief with the spelling and the way his name is now, Corey Graves said:

“I won’t say I named Roman Reigns, but I did suggest that he spells his last name the way he does. He’s actually acknowledged it a few times, which I thought was really cool. That’s my little contribution to ‘The Head Of The Table’.”

Reigns has often mentioned how Corey Graves helped him with his screen name, and during that interview, even Graves pointed out that fact.

Will Roman Reigns and Corey Graves have a match in WWE soon?

According to reports, Corey Graves has been cleared to make a return to in-ring competition after dealing with an injury issue. Graves still works as a commentator on RAW regularly, but given that he has been cleared to wrestle, it should not be a surprise if we see him in the squared circle again.

With Roman requiring new challengers for his undisputed WWE Universal Championship, someone like Corey Graves could be a decent opponent for the Head of the Table.
