CM Punk’s Cryptic Instagram Post Fuels Rumours About Him Joining AEW

Recently, wrestling fans across the globe have been extremely hyped up about a rumored return of CM Punk to the wrestling ring after a hiatus of almost 7 years. Despite starring in the UFC octagon, he couldn’t really produce something remarkable, as he lost both his fights in the cage.

Now intensifying the ongoing canards surrounding Punk’s return, Phil Brooks has updated an arcane post that plays even further into making people believe that he may very well be coming down the pike for All Elite Wrestling (AEW).

Earlier on Thursday, Punk posted a clipping on Instagram that blared The Alan Parsons Project’s song called “Sirius”. The song was further popularized by the Chicago Bulls during the Michael Jordan era. The Bulls still continue to use the song to introduce their line-ups at the United Center.

Going by the post of Punk, this puts a lot of fuel to the fire of ‘The Best since Day One’ may be appearing at AEW’s All Out pay per view in Chicago on September 5th.

CM Punk’s post links with AEW’s latest request for phase trademarking

The foremost reason why this song post by Punk is making the fans even more excited is because of AEW’s recent filing of trying to trademark the phrase “The first dance” which is a possible spin-off from “last dance”, the title of the 2020 ESPN docuseries on Jordan’s final season with the Bulls.

Punk is still to confirm any rumours about this contract signing with AEW. Booker T has also expressed concerns about how impactful Punk will be at the age of 42?

Booker T cited, “Out of sight, out of mind. CM Punk has been out of the game for a minute. I’m not hating or anything like that, but my thing is this…even as great a physique as I have right now at 56, when I got into my 40s, mid-40s, even though I looked good, I had a phobia about taking my shirt off in the locker room with the young guys.”

He also said, “That’s where I come from with the CM Punk thing, can he go out there and still do it? Yes, but has the game changed tremendously in the last 7 years? Yes, I think so.”

Punk became the crowd favourite after those colossal pipe bombs that he dropped upon Vince one after the other.

He also has the sixth-longest title reign in WWE that was snuffed out by Dwayne ‘the Rock’ Johnson. Friction between Punk and Vince already started spilling out of the locker rook, and Phil Brooks made it personal.

The leader of the straight edge society tried his hands at the octagon, only to be drubbed by Mickey Gall and Mike Jackson in consecutive matches. His return to the ring under any banner will be absolutely rip-roaring, as the wrestling universe has always believed in his supremacy.
