Braun Strowman Gets Called Out By Ricochet On SmackDown For His Controversial “flippy flippers” Tweet

Braun Strowman got called out on SmackDown for his controversial tweet by Ricochet, who’s his opponent next week.

Ricochet won his match against Mustafa Ali to advance to the semi finals of the SmackDown World Cup. In the hard fought match, Ali had a visible disadvantage with taped ribs from Bobby Lashley’s spear on RAW that flipped him 360 degrees in the air. Ricochet picked up the win and will face Braun Strowman in the semi final round on the November 25^th edition of SmackDown.

Strowman had a match on SmackDown as well. He teamed up with The New Day (Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston) to take on Imperium (Gunther, Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci). After winning the 6-man tag team match, Strowman was being interviewed backstage. He claimed that he will win the World Cup tournament and then take the Intercontinental championship off Gunther’s hands. Ricochet then approached and interrupted him. The high flier told him “Listen Braun, I know you’re not one for big thinking. You’re looking way too far into the future because if you keep looking past these ‘flippy flippers’, your words not mine, it might come back to bite you.” Braun just smiled to this.

By using the word “flippy flippers” Ricochet was referring to Braun’s controversial and now deleted tweet. Some time back, Strowman was belittling smaller and high flying wrestlers like Ricochet and Mustafa Ali among others on twitter.

It generated him a lot of heat from the fans as well as the wrestling community. Finally he cleared his stand as just joking around passing the time while waiting at the airport.

So far, the competitors who have proceeded to the semi finals are Santos Escobar, Butch, Braun Strowman and Ricochet. Next week Escobar will face Butch and Strowman will face Ricochet. The winners of these matches will square off in the finals and the final winner will challenge Gunther for his Intercontinental title.
