All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has become the talk of the town after their latest pay-per-view event All Out. However, the chairman of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), Vince McMahon, does not consider the Tony Khan-owned wrestling promotion as a competition at the moment. After CM Punk’s debut, AEW has got more audience.
Also, at the All Out pay-per-view event, the likes of Adam Cole, Ruby Soho and Bryan Danielson made their AEW debuts. Still, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray believes that Vince McMahon will not consider AEW as competition until their shows start airing on Monday or Friday, the days when WWE airs its premier shows – RAW and SmackDown.
“I don’t think that WWE is going to consider anybody competition until somebody shows up on Monday night or Friday night, or affects their merchandise sales, or affects their global penetration, you know, as an entertainment conglomerate that uses the entire world as their playing field,” Bully Ray said on the latest episode of Busted Open Radio.
The WWE Hall of Famer concluded by saying that WWE will do its own thing, while All Elite Wrestling will continue to do what they have doing.
Many fans expected that WWE would try to bounce back after the AEW All Out PPV stole the limelight on Monday. However, there were not any big moments on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw.
According to PWInsider, Vince McMahon did not even attend the latest RAW Tapings. It was Bruce Prichard who ran the show. WWE’s next pay-per-view event is Extreme Rules. The WWE Championship match between Bobby Lashley and Randy Orton is most likely to main event the PPV. It will be exciting to see what happens next in World Wrestling Entertainment.
